getting tipsy while on stilts still blows my mind. talent, you guys.
I stepped off the plane, after flying above Black Rock City, and saw this couple - just another example of why I love the characters at Burning Man.

so, i’ve been neglecting this tumblr and you lovely burners and burners-to-be. mostly because it’s been getting more and more clear that i will not be in attendance for the rites of passage after all, and looking at pictures was sorta bumming me out. however, spring has helped to get me out of that funk and i’m working to get more involved with my local community and with the temple, if i can swing it!
it’s funny. if you’ve never been, it’s so easy to say “oh, i’ll just go next year” and so forth. but once you’ve been there, once you’ve seen it? once you’ve experienced that kind of community and art and chaos and beauty? it’s tough. really tough.
if you’re going to be in attendance this year, give some extra hugs and put a little dust in your hair for me. and if it’s your first, feel free to ask any questions you might have. or tell me stories. or just put things in my [ask] box ;)
i’ll get back to flooding your life with goodies now.
